Office Administrator and Community Liaison Role

An opportunity has arisen for a new Office Administrator at our school. The
successful applicant will see this person joining our friendly Wadestown School Staff and working with our delightful students and their families.

We are a well-established Primary School in the heart of Wadestown, Wellington. Close to the city, we are a school situated on two sites; one at 72 Weld Street (Years 1 – 2) and one at 2 Rose Street (Years 3 – 8). We have a staff of 26 teachers and support staff, and 250 students.

The support of our staff, community and the Board makes Wadestown School a great place to work.

We are seeking a professional and organised administrator with the necessary knowledge and experience to assist in the running of our community-focused  school.

Previous experience working in a school would be advantageous.

The role will require you to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents and other key stakeholders and assist with the smooth running of our School Office and Medical Room.

You will work closely and collaboratively with the Principal, our Deputy  Principals, and the Administration Team.

The role is 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday with a total of 25 hours per week. This role will be worked during the school terms (1 – 4).

Tours of the school prior to the applications closing, are welcomed.

Please note that under the Education Act of 1989 and the Children’s Act 2014, a police vet will be required for this role.
