Information technology is embedded in the day to day activities of students at Wadestown School. As with pens, pencils and conversation, technology is another tool to support student learning.
Students develop a breadth of knowledge through using Windows laptops, Lenovo Chromebooks, and Apple iPads. They develop depth of knowledge by using these devices across a range of curriculum areas. The focus is on how these devices, and apps, enhance the learning experience.
From Year 7, students have the option to bring their own device to school – it is not mandatory. Typically, Year 8 students are planning ahead for college and, if they already have their device that they will be taking to high school, they can also use it at Wadestown School.
