(IT FAQ) Unlock a user's account in eTAP

If a teacher types in a wrong password on three consecutive occasions when logging on to eTAP, then the teacher's account will get locked. (This is a MoE requirement). Read on to find out how to unlock the user's account.

  1. Log on to eTAP using an account with admin privileges (e.g. alan, bev, steve)
  2. Click the 'Admin tools' button.
  3. Click the 'Manage Users/Rooms' button.
  4. Click the 'User logons' button. A list of user names will be displayed. On the right-hand side of the screen under the heading 'Locked/Unlock' there is a checkbox for each user. If it is checked then the account is locked.
  5. Uncheck the checkbox to unlock the account.
