(IT FAQ) Unlock a user's account in eTAP
If a teacher types in a wrong password on three consecutive occasions when logging on to eTAP, then the teacher's account will get locked. (This is a MoE requirement). Read on to find out how to unlock the user's account.
- Log on to eTAP using an account with admin privileges (e.g. alan, bev, steve)
- Click the 'Admin tools' button.
- Click the 'Manage Users/Rooms' button.
- Click the 'User logons' button. A list of user names will be displayed. On the right-hand side of the screen under the heading 'Locked/Unlock' there is a checkbox for each user. If it is checked then the account is locked.
- Uncheck the checkbox to unlock the account.
