(Tech FAQ) Importing students into AsTTle from eTAP

How to import students

First you export the file from eTAP

  1. On the eTAP main page click the 'AsTTle' button
  2. Check all six checkboxes for the year levels (Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6, Y7, Y8). Yes, all six, really! Year 3 students will show up in AsTTle as being year 4.
  3. Click the 'Click here to generate an import file for AsTTle ...' button
  4. Save the file to a network folder

Then you import the file into AsTTle

  1. Start the AsTTle admin program
  2. Click the 'Import Data' button
  3. Specify the location of the file that you saved above
  4. Select all classes using the 'Select All' button then click 'Next'
  5. The 'Import Complete' screen should now be shown
